About

In the early 1990s, I was doing a really useful job, but felt a lack of creativity in my life, so I tried a night class in welding for artists. I realised I wanted to make things in metal, and went on a BA Design Crafts Course at Hereford Art College/Technology College that specialised in blacksmithing. I finished my course in 1999, and found various part-time work including working for other blacksmiths and teaching, to support myself. I was able to work full time at my own metalwork in 2016 and built my own forge building to have my own workshop.

Apart from my own work, I teach blacksmithing lessons, mostly one or two students at a time. I really enjoy seeing how, with quite a bit of effort, people can make something they really like and are proud of.
